IQ2000 CMNV Detection and Prevention System

Introduction
A major disease that occurred in the shrimp farming industries in China before 2009 was generally named covert mortality nodavirus (CMNV) due to that most of the moribund shrimp could hide in deep water rather than swim to the surface or in shallow water, as did shrimp suffering from white spot disease.
CMNV has become an increasing problem in the shrimp farming industry in recent years in China and several countries of Southeast Asia, leading to serious losses in production. CMNV could infect Litopenaeus vannamei (also known as Pacific white shrimp) and lead to clinical symptoms including hepatopancreas atrophy and necrosis, soft shell, slow growth, and abdominal muscle whitening and necrosis in the acute stage of disease.
IQ2000™ CMNV Detection and Prevention System is a diagnostic system specially designed to detect CMNV by GeneReach. This system adopts the design of nested PCR and also inherits the reliability, sensitivity and experiences from a range of IQ2000™ diagnostic kits for shrimp and fish pathogen infections. IQ2000™ CMNV can effectively and reproducibly detect 10 copies of the viral RNA per reaction, while in most cases single digit copies of viral RNA can also be detected. IQ2000™ CMNV offers you the best tool for the prevention of CMNV infection.

Specifications:
  •  ■ Packing size: 200 reactions.
  •  ■ Detection Limit: 10 copies/reaction.
  •  ■ Quantitative capability: 3 different levels of infection can be differentiated.
  •  ■ Sample throughput: for 40 samples, from sample preparation to final results require 4.5 to 5 hours.
  •  ■ Built-in internal control system: eliminate false negative results from failed extraction or reaction.
  •  ■ Quantified positive standard: monitor the sensitivity of detection.
  •  ■ Adaptable to the Uni-IQ RT-PCR profile, suitable for multi-viral diagnosis.

An example of the results is shown and explained below:

  • Lane 1: CMNV P(+) standard, 2,000 copies/reaction
  • Lane 2: CMNV P(+) standard, 200 copies/reaction
  • Lane 3: CMNV P(+) standard, 20 copies/reaction
  • Lane 4: Negative control (Yeast tRNA or ddH2O)
  • Lane 5: Sample of severe CMNV infection
  • Lane 6: Sample of medium CMNV infection
  • Lane 7: Sample of light CMNV infection
  • Lane 8: Sample of very light CMNV infection
  • Lane 9: CMNV negative sample
  • Lane M: Molecular weight markers, 848 bp, 630 bp, 333 bp

Applications:

  • ■This reagent is intended for testing fresh, frozen, and ethanol-preserved samples, e.g. gill, pleopod, hepatopancreas, and PL.
  • ■ Ideal for the specific pathogen-free (SPF) animal selection, evaluation of culture environment, grow-out monitoring, and quarantine service.
